Welcome to my royal castle on the LateNightStampers Spring Royal Blog Tour. I am featuring the Good Friend stamp set (113740 $28.95). Now when I usually see projects made with this set, I see the bird so I wanted to show you that there are many other projects you can make using the other stamps in this set.
The first card features the dandelion looking flower from this stamp set. It is stamped on Very Vanilla cardstock in Old Olive and Not Quite Navy Classic ink. This is layered on Kraft cardstock and the corners are rounded. Notice that I stamped "happy birthday" (from Teeny Tiny Wishes 115370 $36.95) in Soft Suede ink vertically next to the ribbon. I used the Old Olive 1 1/4" ribbon to tie a bow on the front with the Old Olive 5/8" Gross Grain Ribbon accenting the striped ribbon.
The next two cards also use the Good Friend stamp set but I am also featuring the Sunny Day Simply Scrappin Kit (115700 $19.95). Each SU Simply Scrappin Kit contains 8 sheets of 12 x 12 textured cardstock, 6 sheets of 12 x 12 Double-Sided Designed Series Paper, and 6 sheets of 6 x 12 adhesive die cuts. There are enough supplies here to make 40 cards (using your own Whisper White cardstock). Each Simply Scrappin Kit coordinates with a few SU stamp sets so it makes it really easy to coordinate your projects.
The second card's base is Tempting Turquoise textured cardstock. The star flower stamp from Good Friends is stamped with Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive and Pink Passion classic ink on Whisper White cardstock and then layered on matching cardstock. These were punched out with our square punches. At the bottom is an adhesive die cut that matches the stamp exactly. Of course it is finished off with ribbon (Pumpkin Pie striped ribbon).
The last card also uses Tempting Turquoise textured cardstock as the base. One of the designer series papers from the Sunny Day kit is used and 2 of the adhesive die cuts are layered and then placed vertically down the card. The six petal flower was stamped in Pink Passion, Pumpkin Pie, and Tempting Turquoise ink on Whisper White cardstock. The flowers were cut out and circle fire rhinestone brads were placed in the center of the flowers. They were then popped up with dimensionals.
Thank you so much for taking the time to look around my castle. I would like to thank you for visiting. Leave a comment during the tour and you could win the Picture This stamp set. I will use a random number generator to pick the winning comment. I am sorry but per SU rules this is only open to US residents. (Open to both non-demonstrators and demonstrators.)

Okay as I sit here in the snow I am craving spring colors. And nothing says spring like yellow and black. It reminds me of the bumble bees that will be in my garden.
This card features the With All My Heart stamp set (118623 $13.95 clear mount, 118134 $17.95 wood mounted) available in Stampin Up's Occasions Mini Catalog. This set is not just for valentine cards. The flower is stamped with Whisper White craft ink on Basic Black cardstock. The medallion is stamped with Crushed Curry, Basic Black and Basic Gray classic ink. I used the fancy flower punch (118073 $15.95) to punch out a flower in Basic Gray textured cardstock. The medallion is stamped in Basic Black ink and punched out with the 1" circle punch. A Summer Sun corduroy button brad finishes out the center of the flower. "thank you" is stamped with Basic Black ink on Crushed Curry cardstock. Crushed Curry polka dotted gross grain ribbon and 1/4" basic black gross grain ribbon finish off the card.
Hope you enjoy a little bit of sunshine today!

Here is one of the cards that we made this month at class. It is a clean and simple birthday card. I saw this card made by Kristin Moore on her blog (Sunshine, Smiles & Stamps) and just had to case it. I did change the colors to make it brighter. The card base is Rich Razzleberry cardstock. The Whisper White cardstock layer features 4 scallop square punched squares from Razzleberry Lemonade paper. "happy birthday" is stamped in Rich Razzleberry ink. (This stamp is from the All holidays stamp set.) A rhinestone brad marks the center of the filagree brad.
Look how great this card looks. I really love the look of layered brads.
The next time you need to make a card quick, break out your Designer Series Paper scraps and your scallop sqaure punch and you can have this lovely card!

I was having a hard time finding my Mojo a little bit ago so I decided to make Valentines Day Cards for the college kids and shut ins at church. (My church has a card ministry where we send out cards monthly to these members so I decided that I wanted to make them and donate them to church.)
I have alot of materials that I have hoarded over the years. So I got out my new small heart punch and some retired Designer Series Papers. And I just started playing. I liked the look of the small valentine heart punched out all across in a row and popped up with dimensionals. On some of the cards I placed cardstock behind the punched out hearts to pop the color. I think I did a good job and the members will relly enjoy them.
Lessons learned. Make cards for others to get your mojo back. And sometime it only takes a $5.95 small heart punch to inspire you!

Got 5 minutes? Then you have plenty of time to make this card. All you need is your Big Shot, Ribbon, Paper and adhesive.
The card base is Very Vanilla cardstock. Layered on top is Real Red Cardstock texurized with the Damask Texturz plate (Stampin Up Backgrounds 1 114512 $11.95 for 6 different backgrounds.) I popped out the 2 small flowers out of Sending Love Designer Series Paper using the Flower Folds Die. (115970 $42.95). I used the 1" circle punch to pop out a flower center out of Sending Love Designer Series Paper. I placed the 3/4" Real Red polka dot ribbon under the flower and popped the flower up with dimensionals.
So even if you are watching the Super Bowl today for the ads or for the game, you have plenty of time to make this card!

I am going to a baby shower today and decided to pair that with the Pals Paper Arts Challenge 28. It is a color challenge using Pretty in Pink, Melon Mambo and Basic Black colors.
I love the new All My Heart Stamp Set (118623 $13.95 clear mount 118134 $17.95 wood mounted). It is not just a valentine set. I stamped the small medallion in platinum shimmer mist paint (still available) on Basic Black cardstock. On Whisper White Cardstock I stamped the medallion using Pretty in Pink and Melon Mambo ink. Melon Mambo cardstock has "sweet little one" (retired from Holidays & Wishes) in Basic Black ink. I layered 1/4" basic black gross grain ribbon on top of the 5/8" dotted Melon Mambo gross grain ribbon. The new large flower punch (out of Basic Gray textured cardstock) has a medallion stamped in Melon Mambo ink and then a pink bling brad in the center.

If you are looking for quick, cute Valentine cards then look no further than the Love You Much stamp set. Team it up with the Sending Love Designer Series Paper and other accessories from the Occasions mini catalog and you have a winner of a card. I was lucky to get to make these 2 great cards at a demonstrator shoebox swap.
This first card is a Z card and was brought by Wanda Johnson. This style of card is easy to make. (SCS has a good tutorial to make this card.) The base of the left front of the card is Real Red cardstock run through the Big Shot using the Dots textured folder. The middle layer is Pretty in Pink cardstock and Sending Love Designer Series Paper. The birds are stamped in brown. The heart (from I Heart Hearts) is stamped in Real Red ink and then punched out with the small heart punch. (I love our new style punches!) And of course popped up with dimensionals.
The right side base is layered with Sending Love Designer Series Paper. And then "Love you much" is stamped with Real Red ink on the left hand side.
Here is another great card that features the Love you much stamp set. The card base is Real Red cardstock, layered with Pretty in Pink cardstock, and Sending Love Designer Series Paper. A Chocolate Chip 1/4" gross grain ribbon is tied with a cheater bow. The scallop trim border and scallop trim corner punch are used to make the chocolate chip square. A chocolate chip epoxy brad finishes off the flower (which is popped up with a dimensional).
Look no further than Love You Much stamp set (113576 $25.95) for a great Valentine set. And don't forget all of the great items also available in the Occasions mini catalog. And remember hearts make great shamrocks and wedding cards!

Have you seen the adorable chipboard books available in the Occassions mini catalog. Well they make more than just books. The heart will make an adorable heart box.
These are good size boxes 6" x 5 3/8". Just cover the chipboard with Designer Series Paper adhered with a glue stick). I used the Sending Love Designer Series Paper (also from the Occasions mini catalog). The top features 3 flowers punched with the Extra Large Flower Punch out of the Sending Love Designer Series Paper and decorated with epoxy brads and Sweet Pea stitched felt. I attached the top of the box with the 5/8" Red Satin Ribbon. The sides of the box use two strips of 1 1/4' x 11" Pretty in Pink cardstock scored at 1" adhered with Tombow multi adhesive.
My friend Wanda Johnson showed me and a few friends how to make these boxes. She also shared a few of her own samples that she had made.
So this Valentines Day - make your Valentine their own box!

My demo friend Ann brought this great card to a demo shoebox swap that I participated in this weekend. It features the D is for Dog stamp set and it is an easel card. This is an easy card to make but everyone will be impressed with the style.
She received inspiration from this card from Splitcoaststampers (stampinmutt). It features many punches and is a quick and easy card to make.
The base of the card is Sahara Sand cardstock. She wheeled the paw print wheel in Sahara Sand ink diagonally across the card front and across the bottom of the card base.
The dog uses a 3 1/4" circle (cut from the Circle Scissors Plus) and wide oval punch from Soft Suede cardstock, 1/2 butterfly punch (nose) and 2 wide ovals (ears) in Basic Black cardstock, 1 butterfly in Whisper White cardstock and 2 - 3/4" circles in Basic Black cardstock (eyes), part of a butterfly punch in Rose Red cardstock (tongue), 2 slot punches in Basic Black cardstock for the eyebrows. This also features the white gel pen and basic black marker.
The D for Dog stamp set (115784 $15.95) is a great 6 piece stamp set. You can purchase it or earn it for free during Sellabration. To earn it for free all you have to do is place a $50 order (before tax and shipping) and chose it as your Sellabration reward. Remember Sellabration lasts from now until March 30 and this is just of the over 80 items that you can earn for free by placing a $50 Stampin Up order.
If you would like directions on making an easel card check out Splitcoaststampers.com great tutorial. This card uses the layered words as a "stop" for the easel.

Well I have caught the Big Shot Flower Craze! And who new how easy it would be to make these. Look at all of these great flowers I made using the Big Shot, Circles 2 Die, and the Small Scallop DIe. And because you use polar fleece there is no hemming. Can you say quick and fun. And did I tell you that my teenage daughter loves it and wants me to make up a bunch for her and her high school friends!
These flowers look great as pins, on headbands, and on hats. They are great for people of all ages.
I originally saw a polar fleece flower made by Sherri Barron - the Gardenia. And I just had to make it so I bought the tutorial and I was hooked. Once I made a Gardenia, I had to make a pom flower and then I decided to design my own. I call it the Daisy. And I want you to be able to make it also!
There are two styles of Daisy. The "regular petal" and the "backwards petal." The directions are the same for both styles only the petal placement changes.
To make the Daisy you need: Big Shot, Circles 2 Die, Paper Piercer, 1 Corduroy Brad Button, Polar fleece (1/8 yard), needle, thread, adhesive backed pin if you are going to mount as a broach. (Optional fabric adhesive or Tombow Multi).
Cut 15 2" circles from the polar fleece using the Big Shot and Circle 2 die. Fold circle into triangle and use the needle and thread to tack the triangle together at the tip (about 4 or 5 stitches). Knot on back of petal. Repeat this for 13 of the circles.
One of the 2 remaining circles becomes the base of the flower. Attach petals to the circle base with the petal opening facing up. 7 petals become the first layer of the base. These petals fan out. This is the regular petal.
For a different look you can also put the petals backwards which means the opening is towards the base of the flower.
Put 7 petals on the first level. The first picture shows the regular style petal. The second flower shows the backwards petal daisy.
The second layer contains 6 petals. Be sure to put the petals close together in the center of your flower. Slightly overlap the petals so the bottom and top layer are not lined up.
Here is the 2nd petal pulled in close to the first petal on the 2nd layer.
After you have all of your petals in place it should look like this.
Use the paper piercer to make a hole in the center of the flower. You will use the hole to place the corduroy brad button through.
If you are not going to make it into a broach (and put a pin on the back), then place the remaining circle on the back by using fabric glue or needle and thread.
If you are going to make it into a broach then you will need to put a pin on the back of the flower. Fold the circle in half. Line up the pin, use scissors to cut a little slit in the fleece. Slip the pin through the fleece.
Adhere the adhesive on the pin to the back of the flower. If desired you can user fabric glue to glue the entire circle to the circle base. (I don't do that. I find that the pin and base are very secure without fabric glue.) Now the back of your Daisy should look like this.
Instead of putting a button in the center of the flower, you can put beads. I used a 1" circle punch on some scrap sticky pages (left over from my sticky letters) and some silver beads. Then I stuck it to the center of the flower.
There are so many possibilities. They are so much fun!
Make some today!!!
If you don't own the Big Shot and Circle DIe 2 and want to make one, you can order a kit from me. Each kit Costs $5 and includes 15 cut polar fleece circles, corduroy button, and adhesive pin. Shipping Costs $1.50 for up to 5 kits. (Only available to US residents.) You will only need needle, thread and paper piercer. If you wat other colors than those listed or want to buy more than 1 kit - Email Me what you want and I'll send you a Paypal invoice.

Looking for a good Valentines gift? Do you love chocolate? Then why not consider making a Smores carrier. This is my entry in the Pals Paper Arts Challenge - Anything But a Card PPA26).
This project features only 1 stamp set: Under the Stars and two ink colors Soft Suede Classic Ink and Stazon Black ink. The key to this project is stamping the same image on different cardstock and then cutting out the layers and adhering them together. So even though this project looks like you are using alot of different types of supplies you are not.
The base is a handled drink carrier. (I bought a case of 40 from Sam's Club but you can get from any Restaurant Supply house or you could save your from your next fast food restaurant visit.) Stamp the smore image using Soft Suede Classic Ink over the handle of the carrier. (The base will be covered.)
Cover the base of the carrier with Real Red and Crushed Curry cardstock and Soft Suede Designer Series Paper. (I used sticky strip to attach the cardstock to the carrier.) I used my Big Shot and Stampin Up exclusive Simple Letters die to punch out the word smores in Crushed Curry cardstock.
Both bear images are stamped with Stazon Black ink on both Soft Suede and Sahara Sand cardstock. The muzzle and stomach are cut out of the Sahara Sand cardstock and adhered to the Soft Suede bear. Googlie eyes were added with liquid Tombow adhesive. (Because everything looks better with googlie eyes.)
The smore image is stamped on both Soft Suede and Whisper White cardstock 3 times using Stazon Ink. The marshmallow layer is cut out of the whisper white cardstock and adhered to the Soft Suede cardstock. (When they are placed on the bottom layer the top smore is layered over the other two using dimensionals.)
The tag is a matchbook style card. The closure is Real Red and Crushed Curry cardstock layered circles that have 5/8" Real Red gross grain ribbon going through the center. I used 5/8"and 1/4" Real Red Gross Grain ribbon to tie around the items placed in the carrier.
This is a fun project to make. Do you want to make one? Place a $50 online order with me from now until February 28, 2009 and I will send you the following supplies to complete this project: drink carrier, Crushed Curry, Real Red, Whisper White, and Soft Suede cardstock, Soft Suede Designer Series Paper, Googlie Eyes, "smores" letters in crushed curry, Real Red and Crushed Curry Circles for Matchbook Card, Matchbook card ready for you to stamp, 1 yard 5/8" Real Red Gross Grain Ribbon, 1/2 yard 1/4" Real Red Gross Grain Ribbon. All you will need to complete the project is the Under the Stars stamp set, Soft Suede and Jet Black Staz on Inks, Adhesives, Dimensionals, and Scissors.

Okay. If yoiu have been following my blog for a while, you know that I have been making candy bar wrappers for Christmas for a couple years. (See my Favorite Projects in the left hand column and click on Santa Candy Bar.) Well, this year I decided to do something a little different and make a Reindeer candy bar wrapper for a regular size candy bar.
Supplies needed for this project include:
1 regular Hershey Candy bar
5 1/2" x 6 7/8" Chocolate Chip cardstock (base)
1 - scallop circle punch Close to Cocoa cardstock cut in half (only use half)
1 - 3/4" circle punch Chocolate Chip cardstock cut in half
2 - 3/4" circle punch whisper white cardstock
2 - 1/2" circle punch Basic Black cardstock
1 - 1 1/4" circle punch Real Red cardstock
1 - 1 3/4" circle punch Chocolate Chip cardstock
2- brown pipe cleaners (12" length" from Walmart) (Do not use your good paper and ribbon scissors on pipe cleaners. Craft and Rubber scissors or household scissors work well.)
dimensional
sticky strip
snail adhesive
white gel pen
Make the antlers using pipe cleaners. Cut 1 pipe cleaner in 2 - 4 1/2" sections. Throw excess away. This is the base of your antlers. Cut the other pipe cleaner in 4 - 3" sections. Two of these sections will be placed on each base making a double T.
Wrap each strip 1 time around base, Form them in a V. And cut off excess so the sides are even.
Tape the ends of the candy bar inside.
Fold Chocolate Chip cardstock base around candy bar. Place sticky strip on 1 edge and tape to candy bar. Place 2 strips of sticky strip on front inside of candy bar wrapper. Place antlers on sticky strip. Make sure the antlers are even.
Wrap the chocolate chip wrapper base around the candy bar. Adhere to the candy bar with sticky strip. This way the wrapper will stay on the cnady bar. How long you ask? Well I have had candy bar wrappers last more than 1 year.
Now place the scallop circle half on the top of your candy bar wrapper. With the white gel pen, place a white arc on the Basic Black 1/2" circles. Adhere the Basic Black circles to the Whisper White circles. Take the half Chocolate Chip circles and adhere to the top of the Whisper White circles. (You are making eyelids.)
Place the 1 3/4" Close to Cocoa circle on the Chocolate Chip base. Use a dimensional to place the Real Red circle on the Close to Cocoa circle. (It's not centered. It's closer to the bottom of the circle.)
There are many great uses for these Rudolph Candy Wrappers. I am going to use them as place cards on my holiday dinner table. I am adding a ribbon on the bottom and adding a tag with the persons name. What a great way to decorate my table.
By using regular Hershey candy bars, I am keeping my costs low! And this week, they are on sale at Walgreen's for 49 cents each (limit 6). And they are quick to make.
So I challenge you to go buy some candy bars and go through your scrap pile and make some candy bar wrappers. They also make great stocking stuffers!

Looking for a little inspiration. How about a rolodex full of inspirational verses? This rolodex is full of Inspirational verses for all types of occasions. Everyday I just pull another card and put it in the front of the rolodex. What a great way to let someone know that you are thinking of them. This makes a great gift.
This uses Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper, In Color Cardstock, In Color Markers, Razzle Dazzle Stamp Set, Various Accessories, Big Shot, Rolodex die and a rolodex from an office supply store.
I will be featuring this project over the next few days and will be offering a class kit by mail in September. Check back everyday too see the entire project.
Thanks for checking!

I don't know why I don't use Kraft cardstock more. It is a great neutral and in this card it is a great combination with both the Basic Black and Soft Suede.
The base of this card is Kraft cardstock. The next layer is Basic Black and is 4 1/4" wide by 4 1/2" tall. I used 4 squares of Soft Suede Designer Series Paper in 2" squares and stamped on them with black Stazon ink. "happy birthday" is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and stamped with black stazon on Whisper White cardstock and punched out with the word window punch. It is mounted on Basic Black cardstock punched out with the scallop oval punch. The hemp "ties" it on the card. Soft Suede Polka Dot ribbon finished up the card and is tied off with hemp.
This is a quick card. Who knew that stamping on Designer Series Paper could be so much fun!
I can't help it! I love the Circle Circus stamp sets. And it seems like everyone else loves it too because there are alot of great cards out there for inspiration. I went over to Splitcoast and cased the following cards. Some I changed colors some I didn't. But when you have a great stamp set -inspiration isn't hard to find!
The first sample is a case from Mudflapmama. It uses Bermuda Bay cardstock as the base and Chocolate Chip and Whisper White cardstock as additional layers. The base is stamped with various stamps from Circle Circus in Bermuda Bay ink. The Whisper White layer has "happy birthday" from Teeny Tiny Wishes and the smallest stamp from Circle Circus stamped in Chocolate Chip ink. Of course it is finished off with 5/8" Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon.
This next card is cased directly from Smartblonde_2000. I kept almost everything about her card the same. I love it. The small rhinestone brads in the middle just give it a little pop. It features the new in colors: Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, and Rich Razzleberry. The only thing I changed from her card is that I added the stamping to the base layer.
The next card is cases from KarenG. I changed the colors fron her card. She originally used in colors and I wanted to feature fall colors. So I used Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, and Old Olive. I also used "kind thanks" from Thank You Kindly stamped with Old Olive Ink. I also stamped on the base layer.
This is a great stamp set to add to your collection. There are many great artists out there creating wonderful artwork to use as inspiration.
I still love my Punch Pals stamp set because it is so versatile. For this card I wanted to show you how you can use a punch as a background tool. The base of this card is craft cardstock. I used the large star punch and punched out 5 large stars. I then used Sahara Sand Classic ink and with a sponge inked the edges of the large stars. I then adhered them to the base cardstock using snail adhesive.
The Whisper White textured cardstock is 2 1/2" x 4 1/4" and has the trees from the Punch Pals stamp set stamped on it using black stazon ink. I used Certainly Celery, Real Red and Summer Sun Markers to color in the trees. This is mounted on Real Red cardstock (2 3/4" x 4 1/4"). A small star was punched out of Real Red cardstock and a Rose Red button was placed on top with a glue dot.
So get out your punches and create your own background.
It's never too early to think about Christmas! And if you give gifts of food like cookies, jams, breads, brownies, etc... then you are going to want to pick up Stampin' Up!'s new Treat Boxes ( pg 159, 115690, $3.95 for a package of 5). The dimensions for the completed package are 4 5/8" x 2 3/8" x 6 1/8". I used a ribbon as decoration but the Treat Box has a tab closure which securely closes the box. These are shipped flat and fold easily.
The base for the tag is a large Aluminum White Circle Tag. I stamped "sweet treats" from Teeny Tiny Wishes with Basic Black ink on the tag. I stamped the snowman from the Christmas Punch Level 2 Hostess set in Basic Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock and cut it out around the snowman. I colored the hat with a Going Gray marker and the nose is colored with Pumpkin Pie Marker. A small piece of 1/4" Real Red Grosgrain ribbon is tied around the bottom of the snowman to make the scarf. The snowman is adhered to the card with dimensionals. Silver cord adheres the tag onto the 3/4" Real Red Polka Dot Grosgrain Ribbon which is tied around the box.
These are quick boxes to put together and decorate for your homemade Christmas goodies. And at less than $1 per box they are cheaper than gift bags. Be sure to pick some up!
I love the Circle Circus stamp set and I hope after seeing my samples I know that you will love it too. Circle Circus is one of the brand new sets available in the 2009-2010 Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog.
The first card features the new In Color Melon Mambo. It is paired with Basic Black and Whisper White card stock. I don't know if you can tell but each layer of the topiary is popped up with dimensionals. I think it gives it an Asian influence.
My second card is my "watermelon" card because it uses colors you would see in a watermelon. It also features "thank you" from Teeny Tiny Wishes.
The third project shows you how versatile this set is. By using one of our Decor Elements "Friends Are Forever" and craft ink, I was able to dress up this memo/bulletin board.
Starting tomorrow for just three days, I will be participating in the Royal Blog Tour. There are four tours - for a total of 80 fabulous blogs all featuring Stampin' Up! products!
I am a real glitter girl at times. Sometimes I think it just gives a "pop" to a project. This card features the set Inspired by Nature which features both a Black Eyed Susan Flower image that reminds me of the beautiful flowers from my garden. It is such a versatile set. Today I used glitter to highlight the center of the flower.
The base of this card is Chocolate Chip cardstock which is layered with Old Olive cardstock stamped with the grass image in Old Olive ink.
The top layer is Very Vanilla Cardstock stamped with the leaves in Old Olive ink and then stamped with the stems only in Old Olive ink layered on top of Rose Red cardstock.
I then stamped the center flower (twice) on a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock with Rose Red ink. I then cut it out, used 2 way glue on the flower center and put the rose color from the fine cosmo glitter stack. This is then popped up with dimensionals.
I used the Photo Corner punch with Rose Red and Chocolate Chip cardstock (paper pierced the corner) and it is finished off with Chocolate Chip taffeta ribbon.
I love this card because I can add the sentiment later. The Infinite Goodness stamp set is just one of the stamp sets featured in the new Stampin Up Idea Book & Catalog.
Be sure to check back this weekend when I will be a Princess on the Royal Blog Tour.

I hope you are not getting tires of the new Circle Circus stamp set. It is one of my favorites so I play with it often. My friend Beckie brought this card for us to make at a demonstrator shoebox swap.
The base of this card is Rich Razzleberry, layered with Basic Black, and a top layer of Whisper White. First I stamped the Live, Laugh... sentiment (111664 $33.95 On Your Birthday) in Rich Razzleberry ink on the Whisper White cardstock layer. Various stamps from Circle Circus are stamped in Basic Black ink on the Whisper White layer. It is also stamped on scraps of Whisper White cardstock which were then puched out with the scallop circle and 1 1/4" circles punches. I also stamped one image from Circle Circus in white stazon on scraps of Basic Black cardstock and punched it out with with the 1" circle punch. A black brad is placed on the center medalion which is popped up with dimensionals and Rich Razzleberry dotted ribbon goes underneath.
I will be featuring more samples using the Circle Circus stamp set in the next few weeks so be sure to check back!
I love the Black-Eyed Susans that dot my back flowerbed. They come back year after year (unless you pull them out).
This card reminds me of those flowers. It was brought to a Demo Shoebox swap that I participated in and Wow is it easy and pretty. If there was a category for under 3 minute cards, this one would win!
The card base is Borbering Blue cardstock layered with Old Olive Designer Series Paper. Another strip of Old Oliver Designer Series paper goes over the Close to Cocoa cardstocklayer. We used the Flower, Dasies 2 die to punch out the flowers in So Saffron cardstock. The center of the flower is a 3/4" circle punch out of Close to Cocoa cardstock with a 5/16" neutral Jumbo Brad in it. Tip: To arange the flowers use a cardstock 1" circle as your base. Then adhere each layer to the circle.
"Just for you" from Teeny Tiny wishes was stamped on So Saffron cardstock in Close to Cocoa ink and punched out with the large oval punch and layered on top of Bordering Blue cardstock punched out with the scalloped oval punch.
I then pulled up the edge of the tips of the flower to give it dimension. I hope you can tell in the close-up picture. I think it really adds something. Now I think that the next one I make, I might sponge ink to the outside tips of the flower petals to give it even more dimension.
Teeny Tiny Wishes is just one of the new stamp sets available in the new Stampin Up Idea Book & Catalog. The Flower Daises #2 is just one of the many Bigz Bigshot dies that are available to purchase.
My friend Wanda brought this card to a demo shoebox swap the past week. It was a stunning card and easy to make.
This card features the new stamp set Autumn Days (115452 $23.95). The card base is kraft cardstock with Bella Bleu Designer Series Paper layered on top of it. The wheat is stamped with Crushed Curry ink and the seeds are stamped with Crushed Curry ink on Very Vanilla Cardstock. This is layered on top of Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry Textured Cardstock. Did you know that you can get an assortment of Textured In Color Cardstock in 8 1/2" x 11". Isn't that great for cardmakers!
Kraft corduroy buttons finish off the project (tied with linen thread). The peacock is stamped with Bermuda Bay ink on Kraft cardstock. We then cut it out and popped it up with dimensionals. "Birthday Wishes" (from Sincere Salutations) is stamped with Dusty Durango ink on Very Vanilla cardstock punched out with the scallop oval punch layered on top of a large oval punch of Dusty Durango cardstock. This is adhered to the top of the card.
This is a very versatile stamp set that is great for Fall, Holiday, or masculine occasions. I predict that you will see many more cards made with this set right here so be sure and check back!

Wow this is a great card that my friend Carol showed me how to make. It looks difficult but it is really easy!
To make this card all you need is 12-1" squares of your favorite designer series paper. (Can you say - I have scraps and was going to throw them away and viola now they are a card.) The base of the quilt is a 3" high x 4" wide pieces of cardstock. I used Whisper White. If you use colored cardstock make sure it matches your card base or use ink to ink the edges of the cardstock when you are finished with your "quilt". Line up the 1 inch squares on your 3" x 4" card base (3 high and 4 across). Just use your snail adhesive to tape the squares "butted up" right next to each other. Then you will run that completed "quilt base" through your Big Shot using the Top Note Die.
I used Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper for my quilt paper. The card base is Rich Razzleberry cardstock layered on top of Melon Mambo cardstock. Rose Red Grosgrain ribbon is tied around the quilt. I stamped Oval All in Rich Razzleberry ink on Whisper White cardstock punched out with the large oval punch layered on top of Dusty Durango cardstock punched out with the Scallop Oval punch.
What a great way to use up all of your scraps!
The Oval All stamp set fits right inside the Large Oval and Scallop Oval Punches. And it has sentiments for many different occassions.

Have you ever seen a Melon Mambo giraffe? Well here is one that uses the kissing technique featuring the stamp set Animal Stories.
I stamped Rich Razzleberry ink using the "bubble" image from the Circle Circus stamp set onto the giraffe stamp already inked with Melon Mambo. This card also features the Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper, Rich Razzleberry polka dotted ribbon, modern label punch, pretties kit, brad, Crushed Curry and Melon Mambo cardstock. "happy birthday" is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.
This was one of the cards that I stamped on Monday at a Stampin Up Demonstrator shoebox swap. We really had a fun time stamping together.
Animal Stories is just one of the new stamp sets featured in the new Stampin Up Idea Book & Catalog.
One of the new stamp sets available in the Stampin Up Idea Book and Catalog is called Circle Circus (set of 10 - 115778- $28.95). It combines two of my favorite stamping images: circles and flowers. I just love playing with this set because you can stamp a random image and it always looks wonderful.
There have been so many great cards made with this stamp set so far. I cased Mary Fish's card for this card. I used the same colors she did: Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive. I used the the Texturz Plate Kit #4 to provide the texture to the Old Olive background. (I used the one that gives it a wood-grain look.) This card also uses Teeny Tiny Wishes ("thank you"), word window and 1 3/4" circle punches. I stamped "thank you" on Whisper White cardstock in Old Olive ink, punched it out with the word window punch, and then connected it to the stamped Circle Circus (punched out with the 1 3/4" circle punch) with Old Olive brads using the mat pack and the piercing tool. All the circles are layered with dimensionals.
Here is another card featuring the Circle Circus stamp set. It also uses two new in colors: Soft Suede and Bermuda Bay. I used the scallop punch across the bottom of the Whisper White cardstock and then put a scallop punched piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock underneath it. The back piece of cardstck has "Kind Thanks" stamped in Soft Suede on the bottom of the cardstock so that it shows. (Kind Thanks is from the set Thank you Kindly.) I stamped randomly on the top piece of cardstock and then used the Soft Suede polka dot ribbon to tie off the top. This is a quick and beautiful card to make. You are going to love the new ribbon. If you'd like to have all of the new in color ribbon, consider participating in my in color ribbon share (18 yards for $16.50).

Anyone who knows me is not surprised that the Big Flowers stamp set is one of my favorite stamp sets. It shares two of my favorite characteristics in a stamp set - shapes and flowers. I will be really sorry to see this stamp set retire on June 30th. And I hope after seeing these great cards that you too will be sorry to see it go. Maybe you'd like to give it a good home? If so call or email your Stampin' Up! demonstrator and she can order one for you!
This first card uses the tri-panel design. I used Bashful Blue, Riding Hood Red, Whisper White and Basic Black as the colors for this card. The scallop circle medallion uses the white gel pen on the tips of all of the scallops. It also uses one stamp inked in different inks and then layered to give it detail. The medallion is then raised up on dimensionals. The Riding Hood Red Ribbon is layered underneath the medallion. You could put a sentiment on the outside, but I prefer to put mine on the inside. This way I can make a few up at a time and then decide when I send them what sentiment I want to use.
This next card uses the Good Morning Sunshine Designer Series Paper. I pulled the colors So Saffron, Not Quite Navy and Kiwi Kiss out of the paper to coordinate with it. I wanted to remind you that with your stamps you can make great scrapbook paper. So I used one of the floral images stamped with Not Quite Navy on Whisper White cardstock to make matching paper and then repeated the image on one of the circles. The 1 3/8" and 1" circle punch were used to make the row of circles down the front of the card. I also used a filigree brad with the Kiwi Kiss satin ribbon. This is a simple card that still looks elegant.
The last card features Baja Blue, Sahara Sand, and Pacific Point (ink only) and Whisper White. I started by using one of the Stampin' Up! Background Texturz Plates (small polka dot). I then sanded the image to make my card base. With my mat pack I was able to get the row of paper piercing which I then mirrored on the tips of the circle scallop. I finished off my scallop circle with a clear rhinestone brad. I did use a sentiment on this card because I wanted to show you how a simple sentiment fits nicely on this card.
Don't forget to order the Big Flowers stamp set before June 30th.
Many of the special people in my life play golf so this card will probably beome one of those that I keep around.
I personally love punches and this card is also just an excuse to make sure that you own them all.
The golf bag is 1 3/4" wide by 3" tall rectangle in close to cocoa. I then punched out 2 large ovals in close to cocoa and chocolate chip which where then used as the top and bottom of the golf bag. The pocket is 3/4" wide by 1" tall with the bottom corner rounded with the corner rounder (which you need to do first or you will have trouble using the corner rounder). A 3/4" circle was punched out of kiwi kiss, folded in half and placed over the top of the pocket and then decorated with a vintage brad. The handle of the golf bag is our wide chocolate chip gross grain ribbon. The club heads are 3/4" of the word window punch, half a 1/2" circle punch, and 1/2 a 3/4" circle punch all in basic gray. The club heads are popped up with dimensionals. (The leftovers around the edge of the sheet are perfect for this.) The shafts of the clubs are 1/8" wide strips in going gray. They were adhered to the bottom of the close to cocoa large oval. The golf ball is textured using my big shot and the small polka dot plate from the SU backgrounds 1 texturz plates. I then punched it out with a 3/4" circle punch and sponged around the edge with going grey ink. The tee is just a sliver of chocolate chip paper. The base of the card is good morning sunshine paper layered on top of close to cocoa cardstock.
You could have put a sentiment on the outside but I will put the sentiment on the inside because this will be a birthday or father's day card for my family.
Be sure to check back this weekend so that you can hop on the blog hop! You'll see lots of ideas for soon to be retiring stamp sets!
Well, I got out a stamp set that I have owned for a while but never appreciated (another way to say used). It is the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set and now I am really loving it. I made this card with the soon to be retiring Riding Hood Red in color. Wow I am really going to miss this color. It's a great red. This is a card that I featured at my June class which was a celebration of my birthday and 5 years as a Stampin Up demonstrator.
To make the top of the base of the card I stamped the little flower from Flight of the Butterfly and then colored in the center with the white gel pen. The bottom of the card is designer series paper from the Bella Rose pack. The ribbon is Riding Hood Red taffeta ribbon tied around the center using a ribbon slide from the silver hodgepodge hardware kit. The butterflies are stamped with pink pirouette ink and riding hood red ink using Stampin Up's 2 step stamping design. I then cut them out and put them on dimensionals to pop them up. It's a great easy card to make. Of course I dressed up the inside with a stamped butterfly (and the envelope too)!
If you are interested in Riding Hood Red ink, paper or ribbon, be sure to call or email soon because it is only available until supplies last but not after June 30th. (The taffeta ribbon is on sale for 25% off!)
I hope you'll join me this Saturday at noon for the StampinAddicts.com Blog Hop.

Those of you who receive my newsletter received directions for a great 8" x 8" scrapbook page that uses the 2 Sweet Scrappin Kit. Well after you finish the scrapbook page there are plenty of supplies left over to make this box.
Wouldn't this look great on your table as a centerpiece?
And if you don't haved the 2 Sweet Scrappon Kit you can make this box with supplies that you might already own.
Download the directions here to make this great project. The pattern is available here.
Be sure to email me a picture of your completed project!
Ok. so we all realize it's National Scrapbooking Month and we need to preserve those memories. But if we take yucky pictures then we are not really going to want to preserve those memories. But if you take great pictures then the inspiration starts jumping onto your scrapbook page.
Erin Manning is a professional photographer who also hosts a TV show called "The Whole Picture." Check out her tips on how to take great portraits. I picked up some great tips to taking pictures I would be proud to scrap!!
Watch her video and let me know if you learn some tips too!
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
I just want to thank everyone who emailed to check on me while I took a little break. My middle son is graduating from high school this year and applying for college and scholarships became another full time job for him and me. And I hate to admit it - but I lost my stamping mojo.
So thank you for all of your patience but I think my mojo is back.
So here is a Thank you card that features Great Friend from the Occasions Mini catalog. It's a great little set for $17.95.
If you would like to make this card, click here for a supply list and the directions.
